Windows won't try to update the driver again after that (at least until a new synaptics driver comes out, in which case you can repeat step 4 once more) So manually search for updates, let it update, restart then repeat step 4. Windows will try to update to a new driver the next time it searches for updates.Just head over to the driver in device manager, open it and select "roll back driver". Once you have restarted, the trackpad will not work.Download the lenovo and not the softpedia drivers. Delete your synaptic drivers from device manager or from the add/remove programs menu in Windows.You will need an external mouse for point 4. So thought I'd save ppl the hassle of having to do it on their own if they needed to do the same thing.
